The University of Denver is hiring a Retail Food Service Supervisor to help guide our campus retail team through daily operations. This is a working supervisory role—you’ll lead by example, jumping into food prep, barista duties, and guest service while also coordinating shifts and supporting team performance. What You’ll Do as a Working Supervisor:
You’ll be cross trained in all café functions while taking on leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth, efficient service. Key duties include:
- Shift Leadership: Direct daily operations, assign tasks, and support team coordination.
- Food Prep: Assemble sandwiches, salads, and snacks while maintaining food safety standards.
- Barista Duties: Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and teas with consistency and care.
- Guest Service & Cashiering: Greet guests, assist with orders, and handle transactions accurately.
- Team Support: Train new staff, provide feedback, and help uphold service standards.
- Ordering & Inventory: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage deliveries to ensure product availability.
- General Operations: Restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, and assist with opening/closing procedures.
This role is ideal for someone hands-on, adaptable, and energized by both leadership and teamwork.
