Catering Sales & Service Supervisor - DU Athletics Catering.

Position Summary:
DU Athletics Catering is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and energetic Catering Sales & Service Supervisor to support the planning, coordination, execution, and growth of catering operations across Athletic venues and events. This position serves as a key liaison between clients, athletics staff, catering operations, and culinary teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering inquiries, event requests, and client communications.
- Conduct client consultations and recommend menu, service, and event solutions.
- Prepare catering proposals, contracts, and event orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Athletics staff, coaches, university departments, sponsors, donors, and external clients.
- Identify opportunities to increase catering revenue and enhance the guest experience.
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Coordinate all aspects of catering events from initial inquiry through execution and post-event follow-up.
- Create and distribute detailed event sheets and production schedules.
- Confirm event logistics, including timelines, room setups, staffing requirements, and special requests.
- Ensure accurate communication between sales, culinary, operations, and athletics stakeholders.
Service & Operations:
- Supervise front-of-house catering staff during events.
- Assist with staffing plans, scheduling, and labor management.
- Monitor service standards and ensure exceptional hospitality throughout each event.
- Resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Support game day hospitality, premium seating events, donor functions, recruiting events, team meals, and special athletic events.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate event billing and invoicing.
- Maintain catering software, event documentation, and client records.
- Monitor food, labor, and supply costs to support departmental financial goals.
- Assist with monthly reporting and operational metrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent hospitality experience.
- 2+ years of experience in catering, event management, hospitality, food service, or sales.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and athletic event schedules as needed.
- Valid driver's license.
